Diverse concerts were held around Jinji Lake in SIP on Aug 23, allowing the audiences to enjoy an unforgettable Saturday evening.
As the sunset glow painted the sky, the right bank of Jinji Lake was already filled with crowds eagerly awaiting the start of the “Summer Night in SIP” concert. The event, running from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, featured over ten beloved songs that resonated across generations.
The concert at Harmony Times Square, jointly staged by performers from the Nanjing University of the Arts and Suzhou Opera & Dance Drama Theater, combined classic popular songs with folk music works.
The “Summer Night Breeze” concert at the 688 Arts & Fashion Space featured amazing blending of diversified performances staged by a domestically renowned guitarist and local musicians.
While the melodies lingered across the starry sky, the DD (Dang Dang) Life Festival was going on at Moon Harbor, integrating beer, food, music and creative products.
Concurrently, a Jazz concert was underway at Ligong Causeway, with renowned local jazz bands taking the stage in turn, creating a relaxed, immersive artistic atmosphere together with the lake views and distinctive dining options.
The night market at the 688 Arts & Fashion Space offered a dazzling array of creative products, drawing crowds of young visitors who wandered from stall to stall, often pausing to admire handmade crafts or capture photos.
Suzhou Philharmonic Orchestra performed a list of classic music works outside Suzhou Eslite Bookstore. The music drifted through the summer night breeze, as the audience—seated or standing—occasionally hummed along softly.
