The two-day 2025 Lake Cup Regatta (LCR) kicked off on Jinji Lake in SIP on Oct 17. As one of the highlights of the ongoing SIP Golden Autumn ? Three Lakes Carnival, the event, together with the Central (Zhongyang) River Family Paddleboarding Challenge and the Dushu Lake Collegiate Paddleboarding Championship, has demonstrated a new water sports landscape featuring deep integration of culture, sports, commerce and tourism.

Initiated in 2011, the annual LCR has become a brand event in SIP, attracting a large number of professional sailors and sailing enthusiasts each year. This year’s event comprised professional keelboat races and public competitions.

The event attracted over 260 sailors from more than 10 countries, including China, the United States, Russia, Switzerland and Italy.

A lakeside carnival started at the same time, including a treasure hunt game along the Jinji Lake Fitness Trail, sunset concerts and night sailing tours.

A new holographic 3D projection fan installation, the first of its kind in Suzhou, has been set up at Jinji Station 06, creating an immersive space for cosplay and anime fans.
