The resident group leaders in SIP’s Jinji Lake Sub-district play an important role in learning about residents’ needs and helping resolve problems and difficulties in community management.
In Shidai Guangchangbei Community, for example, the resident group leaders attend meetings on a regular basis to learn about the latest policies and exchange work experience to improve their communication and emergency response skills.
The resident group leaders are responsible for collecting public opinions, such as residents’ requests for repair of public facilities, and providing assistance in publicity campaigns such as those on food safety and waste sorting.
Sometimes, the resident group leaders also join inspections to detect safety loopholes in residential buildings.
