Diverse events are scheduled throughout this month for both locals and tourists to escape the summer heat.
Among the events are a variety of exhibitions, including the “Sunday Everyday” trendy art exhibition and Chen Zhanghong Solo Exhibition at Younan Art Gallery, and an exhibition to open at SIP Urban Art Space later this month to showcase a holistic picture of SIP’s integrated development of business, tourism, culture and sports.
Several renowned Chinese singers like Han Hong, Zhang Wei and Hua Chenyu will soon give concerts at Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre.
At Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre, The QIN: AWAKENING, a popular project which blends Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC) culture with modern technology, is underway, and a list of performances including musical and modern dramas will last till the end of this month.
There are also concerts at Harmony Times Square, Ligongdi Causeway, the 688 Arts & Fashion Space and other places on weekends, and a series of book exhibitions, new book launches and reading sessions at the local citizen centers and bookstores.
On the schedule are also a diversity of water and ice activities designed to help the participants beat the summer heat.
