The Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu) organized an event on Dec 19 in collaboration with other organizations, aiming to accelerate commercialization of biotech research outcomes from higher education institutions.

An introduction to technology managers platform and its recruitment plan was given on site. The platform, based on massive data and AI technology, is designed to help improve efficiency and success rate of commercialization.

The public service platform and incubator of the Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu) were launched, and several research teams from the University of Science and Technology of China, Soochow University and other universities signed agreements to run projects in the incubator.

The Suzhou branches of PICC Property and Casualty Co Ltd (PICC P&C), China Construction Bank and China Merchants Bank signed agreements with partner higher education institutions to provide the latter with financial support and risk control services for commercialization of research findings.

The SIP POC Alliance for Biomedicine, consisting of 11 POC (proof of concept) centers, was formed. The Soochow University National University Science Park- Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu) Cooperation Base was inaugurated.

The year-end roadshow of BioMatch Series, a program initiated in SIP for the purpose of promoting transfer and transformation of biomedical technologies from universities, was held. Over 20 projects were presented. The winning projects can enjoy free office rent, financial assistance and other forms of support.
