Recently, the Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block Women’s Federation was established, marking a significant step that SIP’s Jinji Lake Sub-district has taken to support women in emerging sectors.

As new economic and social organizations flourish and the number of women engaged in new forms of employment increases, the sub-district strives to expand the coverage of its women support system, with eight women’s federations established for females working in emerging sectors.

The women’s federations carry out surveys to learn about the needs of the groups they serve, such as female entrepreneurs, white-collar workers and delivery workers, and then tailor services to fulfill their needs.
For example, the women’s federation of a co-working building has organized a series of lectures and information sessions about legal and tax issues for female startup founders, and the one of G.PLAZA has provided diverse lectures on parenting and physical and mental health maintenance.
Moreover, under an initiative led by the Jinji Lake Sub-district Women’s Federation, 11 service stations have been opened across the sub-district for female delivery workers.

The women’s federations also encourage women to take part in public-benefit campaigns and volunteer services to do their bit in driving better social development.
