Neighborhood centers in SIP are in a relay of hosting the annual food and nighttime activities carnival.

Two food festivals kicked off at Shihui and Dongshahu neighborhood centers on Aug 15, and will last till Aug 24, and another two are scheduled at Fangzhou and Zhaojiaxiang neighborhood centers from Aug 28 to 31.

The food festivals have brought together over 100 vendors, offering the most iconic snacks of 13 cities of East China’s Jiangsu province.

Delicious foods are offered alongside live band performances, outdoor movies, live-streamed football games, and interactive activities like the wasabi-eating contest and the pizza cheese pulling competition, drawing large crowds nightly. Special offerings such as the tuna processing show and the whole roasted lamb feast attract over 1,000 people daily.

It has been a tradition for over 20 years for neighborhood centers in SIP to host food festivals in summer. These events have become a much-anticipated celebration for local residents and a catalyst for business vitality.

To enhance the participants’ experiences, coupons are offered this year, each costing RMB10 but entitling RMB20 off in actual payment.
